Lynn Moran MBA is a professionally trained Coach. She is a Leadership and Executive Coach, Business Strategist and Consultant. Lynn is the owner and CEO of Arizona Coaching and Consulting Center. With over 30 years of business experience, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a history of success to her clients.
Lynn was the President of Ethel M® Chocolates, the retail, B2B and direct-to-consumer confectionery business within Mars, Inc., one of the largest food companies in the world. As President of Ethel M, she was also a member of the Leadership Team responsible for managing the Mars, Inc. domestic food businesses. Lynn’s key accomplishments at Ethel M included talent development and organization alignment, repositioning and enhancing the brand image, packaging redesign and relaunch and expanding the reach and presence of the product line into event marketing and high visibility, upscale retailers. The Nevada business site encompassed two manufacturing plants, an on-site call center, an on-site fulfillment center and a unique Cactus Garden that attracts over 700,000 tourists a year. In addition to the Ethel M Chocolates products, the site produced Dove Chocolates and molded chocolate seasonal items. The business also included responsibility for the M&M’s World store, its on-line sales and product development.
Under her leadership and as part of the Company’s community involvement, Lynn designed and launched the “Feed Your Mind” literacy program to encourage a love of reading in youth. Funds were awarded to support two key reading initiatives for children. While President, she was named one of the Most Influential Businesswomen in Southern Nevada. After retiring from Mars, Inc., Lynn moved into an executive leadership position with Russ Berrie, a global company in the gift industry.
Over the course of her 26-year career with Mars, Lynn held leadership positions in Human Resources, Sales, and Licensing as she assumed positions of increasing responsibility. Under her leadership, an initiative was launched for associates who wanted to gain professional insight. In addition to field Sales management, Lynn was a Senior Leader in National Accounts where her Team managed one of the top Customer Channels. Lynn also designed, staffed, and launched the New Business Development organization. In Licensing, she led a Team who negotiated all licensing agreements and product development initiatives for the M&M’s and Snickers brands, including NASCAR.
Lynn has a BS in Business Administration from Centenary University and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University, is a professionally trained Coach and Six Sigma Green Belt. Board Memberships have included the Arizona Women’s Leadership Forum and the Institute for the Advancement of AD/HD Coaching where she was a two-term Board President. She was also a Board member of HELP of Southern Nevada and the Southwest Job Network. Lynn served as the Chair of the President’s Advisory Council at Centenary University and was an Adjunct Professor at Centenary where she taught Principles of Marketing and Organization Design and Behavior courses. Lynn also served on the Board of Trustees at Centenary University.
She has received business and leadership awards over the course of her career including induction into the MARS Tie Club which is the highest performance and leadership award given by the Owners of the Company; is one of 125 Distinguished Alumni at Centenary University; and is a Fairleigh Dickinson University PINNACLE Award recipient which is given to alumni who have distinguished themselves personally and professionally.
Lynn works with individuals, leadership teams and companies to ensure they achieve their highest level of leadership effectiveness and business performance. Lynn has done work with a wide range of companies from small retail and entrepreneurial businesses to large well-known global and nationally branded businesses. Private clients include CEO’s/Presidents, Lawyers, Marketing, Finance, Sales and Engineering Professionals, Medical professionals/executives, Professors and Clergy.
Lynn speaks at meetings and conferences and delivers training workshops on subjects as diverse as Performance Leadership, Building A Personal Leadership Brand, Effectively Leading a Multi-Generation Workforce, Effectively Managing Conflict, Managing the Overwhelm, and other popular business and leadership topics. In addition to her speaking engagements, Lynn did a ½ hour show on the “Circles of Change” radio program for several years. She also regularly appeared on local television while President of Ethel M and has crisis management and media training.
She has delivered workshops and presentations for companies as diverse as Intel, Kellogg’s, Republic Services, RSC Rental and Charles Schwab. Lynn is also a faculty member of the Ladder Down Initiative for women lawyers and is responsible for the design and delivery of the Leadership Module.
In addition to her business passion around the optimal performance and impact of leaders, teams and companies, Lynn regularly volunteers in her local community and has been active in numerous fundraising initiatives.
